By Maryann Royall, Licensed Esthetician & Owner of the Royall Treatment Room
When I set out to write this article, I found myself wondering—do most people truly know what an esthetician does? The term may sound fancy, but at its core, an esthetician is a state-licensed skincare professional trained to perform treatments that promote healthy, radiant skin. These treatments include facials, superficial chemical peels, body treatments and waxing. Beyond treatments, estheticians provide expert advice and help clients navigate the often-overwhelming world of skincare products to develop a personalized routine tailored to their skin type.
At the Royall Treatment Room, I offer a range of services designed to help my clients achieve their skincare goals:
Dermaplaning: A precise, sterile blade gently removes dead skin cells and fine hair, leaving the skin ultra-smooth and radiant.
Hydrafacial: A multi-step vortex system that cleanses, exfoliates, extracts impurities and hydrates the skin. Enhancements include targeted boosters, eye and lip treatments, lymphatic drainage and LED light therapy.
Procell Microchanneling with Stem Cell Growth Factors: This innovative, minimally invasive treatment creates tiny microchannels in the skin to stimulate collagen and elastin production. Procell Therapies harness the power of stem cell growth factors derived from the bone marrow of healthy volunteers to promote tissue regeneration and skin rejuvenation.
Superficial Chemical Peels: A gentle chemical solution using lactic, salicylic or retinol acids exfoliates dead skin cells, revealing a fresh, glowing complexion.
All of these treatments are designed to improve the health and appearance of your skin, ensuring you feel confident in your natural beauty.
