Join us at the National Day of Prayer 2023 in Freeport, Thursday, May 4th, 6 p.m.
This year’s theme, Pray Fervently in Righteousness and Avail Much, is based on James 5:16, and serves as a reminder of the promise that, “The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.”
The City of Freeport and local churches will hold the National Day of Prayer event on the lawn in front of Freeport City Hall. All people and all denominations are welcome. Mayor Russ Barley will open the event, followed by prayers from local pastors and guests for our family, church, workplace, schools, military, government and the arts and media. There will be praise and worship music and a blowing of the shofar to honor our nation and our Lord. We will pray for revival in our city, county, and nation. Parts of the event will be spoken in Spanish. Please bring a lawn chair or blanket to sit on.
