MKAF Concerts in the Village StageApril Concerts in the Village!
The 10-concert live music series on Thursdays, April 4 to June 6, kicks off on Thursday, April 4, 2024, with must-not-miss entertainers Post Modern Jukebox promising an unforgettable trip back in time to celebrate vintage music and pop culture. The highly anticipated season features a range of local, regional and national musicians and bands including rhythm & blues sensation Wendy Moten from The Voice, full-length rendition of Prince’s iconic album Purple Rain by Black Jacket Symphony and the chill sounds of Yacht Rock Revue.

Gates open at 6 p.m. with concerts beginning at 7 p.m. for this come-as-you-are family-friendly outdoor concert series. Bring a lawn chair, picnic, wine, or purchase food and beverages on-site prepared by featured restaurants and food trucks.

Purchase tickets online at MKAF.org/events—$20 to $35 for adults. Discounts offered for active-duty military (must show ID). Purchase tickets in advance of concert day and save $5 per ticket at the door. Children (12 and under) are free.

Arnie Hart Student & Faculty Exhibitions Opening April 4, 6–8 p.m.
Celebrate the 2024 Arnie Hart Juried Student & Art Faculty Exhibitions with Mattie Kelly Art Center and The Division of Humanities, Fine & Performing Arts at Northwest Florida State College at the annual Arnie Hart Show. The festivities include a week of workshops where students learn professional skills such as matting and framing. Followed by a visit from this year’s guest judge Pavel Amromin, the Gallery Director at Gulf Coast State College, will select Best-in-Show, first through third place in two-dimensional and three-dimensional art, culminating in an awards ceremony celebration, with cash awards and scholarship nominations, which will be announced at the opening. Attendance is free. Everyone is welcome!

Exhibition Dates: April 4-June 27. Gallery Hours: Monday – Thursday 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. and 90 minutes before most Mainstage and Sprint Theater Performances.

Foster Gallery Fête April 4
Come out for the Foster Gallery Fête on Thursday, April 4 from 5-7 p.m. at the Miramar Beach Creative Campus, home to The Foster Gallery and J. Leon Studio. Meet the featured artists as you enjoy light bites while strolling the gallery to view incredible works on display and available for purchase. Idol Madness
Join us for The Seaside School™ Idol Madness Teachers vs. Students Basketball Game on Friday, April 5 from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. at the South Walton High School Gymnasium. The evening will kick off with an exclusive concert from American Idol Season 22 contestant, Brant McCollough. Tickets are just $10 per person and all proceeds directly benefit The Seaside School Foundation™. The event is open to the public and food trucks will also be onsite.

2024 Emerald Ball April 6!
Tickets are now on sale for the Sacred Heart Foundation’s 2024 Emerald Ball benefiting Sacred Heart Emerald Coast, April 6 at 6 p.m. at the Hilton Sandestin Beach Resort Golf and Spa. Presented by Howard Group, Grand Boulevard and Silver Sands Premium Outlets, proceeds from this year’s event will benefit the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Sacred Heart Emerald Coast. With more than 1,200 babies born prematurely in Walton and Okaloosa counties in the past three years, Ascension Sacred Heart Emerald Coast is adding five new neonatal specialists to provide 24/7 coverage for sick and well newborns. Guests will enjoy live musical entertainment and are encouraged to wear emerald shades. Tickets are $150 which includes reserved seating, a curated dinner and two drink tickets. Rotary & Local Groups Team Up for Charity Truck Pull April 6
Multiple community organizations are teaming up again to benefit The Twin Cities Pavilion and Crestview Manor. Hosted by 3rd Planet Brewing, Saturday, April 6. A Walk Down Magnolia Lane April 10
Embrace Florida Kids, a nonprofit faith-based organization dedicated to providing homes, healing and hope for vulnerable children across the Florida Panhandle, announced tickets and sponsorships are now available for its first-ever “A Walk Down Magnolia Lane” event.

Presented by Shoreline Title, the inaugural event will take place on Wednesday, April 10 at 5 p.m. A Walk Down Magnolia Lane is a golf-themed soiree celebrating the world’s greatest golf tournament and benefiting vulnerable children in Northwest Florida. Hosted at the Emerald Coast’s award-winning Regatta Bay Golf & Yacht Club, the event will feature a tournament-themed menu, golf-related activities, signature cocktails, outstanding company and music by Jacob Mohr. You are invited to Conexion Media Group’s (CMG) 6th Annual International Festival at the beautiful Landing Park in Fort Walton Beach, Sunday, April 21, 11 a.m. – 7 p.m. More than 60 nations will present with music, food, folklore and art with attendees traveling from as far as Tallahassee, Panama City, Pensacola and the surrounding states of Georgia, Mississippi and Alabama!

For this year’s festival, CMG selected the Advanced Sacred Hope Academy (ASHA) as the local non-profit to benefit. ASHA is a 501c3 nonprofit independent private school dedicated to the individualized learning of students with autism or other neurological disorders that prevent them from succeeding in a traditional school setting. Chamber Golf Classic April 26
Join the Niceville/Valparaiso Chamber of Commerce for its annual Chamber Golf Classic on Friday, April 26th at Rocky Bayou Country Club. Registration opens at 12:30 p.m. and the best ball tournament starts at 1 p.m. with a shotgun start!
