‘First Note Entertainment’ returns to present the debut concert of ‘The Broken Crayons Tour’ at the state-of-the-art South Walton High School Theater in Santa Rosa Beach. This all-ages musical variety show brings generations together through music, uniting multiple acts across various music genres on a single stage.

Some may remember the Jacksons and the First Note Family from the tremendously popular First Note Music Hall experience on 30A. Guided by Tommy Jackson, CEO and Founder of First Note Entertainment, his talent for discovering emerging artists to showcase served as the foundation for selling out over 175 consecutive performances. A notable number of these artists later signed significant record deals. “When you see the show, you’re going to experience something musically special and you’ll soon enough be telling your friends, ‘I saw that artist right before they blew up.’” says Jackson.

Brother of local legend Tim Jackson, it was only natural for Tommy Jackson to combine his passion for music and mentoring to give rise to what is The Broken Crayons Tour. Beyond the stage, The Tour is a pivotal part of a broader initiative, reaching high schools and colleges in every city on its nationwide journey. “We’re able to get such great talent behind this mission because while you’re having a blast with your family and friends, The Tour also supports a greater cause.” says Jackson.

The debut will showcase performances by top-level artists from across the nation, including independent artist and now Jackson’s business partner, Ellee Duke. Duke was discovered by Jackson when he served as a judge for a national songwriting competition during the pandemic. Duke’s winning song ‘Broken Crayons’ was a raw, heartfelt expression about the aftermath of her uncle committing suicide. “The song I’d entered was written during a very heavy, sad time in my life where I was trying to create even just one sliver of hope that broken crayons can still color,” says Duke.

Subsequently, they established their own label where Duke holds the role of co-owner and CEO. More recently, their collaboration extends to The Broken Crayons Tour, inspired by Duke’s winning song.

No stranger to success, Duke boasts a Billboard #1 hit single, over 25 million streams, and her music has been featured on NETFLIX. Formerly signed to Big Machine Records, the same label to launch Taylor Swift’s career, Duke has gone on to share the stage with artists including Rachel Platten, Swae Lee, The National Parks and LeAnn Rimes. Her many experiences in the music industry have helped shape her into the person and artist she is today. Overcoming debilitating depression and anxiety, Duke feels it’s now her purpose to inspire others, showing that the power of self-love, habits, and self-talk can change the trajectory of their lives. “The Tour enables us to support ‘The Broken Crayons Movement,’ which visits local schools in each community we travel to,” says Duke. “Tommy & I deliver engaging and impactful assemblies to inspire and motivate the students. It’s funded through the generous support of our tour partners and our ticket sales.”

With suicide now the second-leading cause of death for teens and young adults aged 10-34, Jackson and Duke feel that making a significant impact is needed more than ever before. “I knew it was time for me to leave Wall Street when I first spoke in schools and received hundreds of notes from students talking about their struggles with suicide, addiction, depression, and anxiety.” Jackson explains. “I want this season of my life to be about giving back and helping our youth to be the best versions of themselves. They are our future.”

Jackson and Duke have invited a lineup of amazing friends from across the country, seen on some of the world’s biggest stages and heard in blockbuster movies and network television shows.

Percy ‘Bad’ Bady, representing Houston, TX, is the mastermind behind “I Believe I Can Fly.” He brings a Grammy nomination, multiple #1 hits, and 26 Platinum and Gold Records to the stage; Tim Jackson, a local legend from 30A, FL, has earned recognition in Rolling Stone Magazine and received Grammy nominations, showcasing his remarkable musical talent; Jon Michael Ogletree, known from Birmingham, AL, has graced the stage of “America’s Got Talent” and is an official partner of Twitch, promising a spectacular performance;

Anthony Peebles, a local gem from Panama City Beach, FL, has made his mark on ABC, NBC, and Peacock with his music, and he’s ready to deliver an unforgettable show; Victoria Boland, coming from Nashville, TN, has wowed audiences on “Canada’s Got Talent”, performed for Her Royal Highness, Queen Elizabeth II and had her music featured on CBS and CBC, making her a must-see artist.
