Crafting Excellence: E.F. San Juan’s Bespoke Seaside Prize Key Enclosure
The Seaside Institute™ is proud to announce a new partnership with E. F. San Juan, Inc., a leading architectural millwork company, as the keystone Presenting Sponsor of the prestigious 2024 Seaside Prize Weekend. In celebration of the Seaside Institute’s 30th anniversary and its mission to inspire livable communities, the Seaside Prize will honor Victor Dover and Joe Kohl, founders of Dover, Kohl & Partners, a renowned Miami-based town planning firm.
“As one of the custom millwork manufacturers privileged to work in towns like Seaside, Rosemary, and Alys Beach with some of the world’s most skilled architects and builders, E. F. San Juan is proud to be a sponsor of the 30th Seaside Prize Weekend,” says president Edward San Juan. “My father and I have watched Seaside grow since its inception and have been part of its legacy through some incredible homes here, as well as The Seaside Chapel, for which we provided most of the millwork and windows, including the bell tower. It’s an honor to sponsor this Prize weekend and share our love of what we do with the attendees. We look forward to seeing everyone there!”
The Seaside Prize, awarded annually, recognizes individuals or organizations whose life’s work aligns with the Seaside Institute’s vision of promoting livable communities. The 2024 celebration, themed “New Urbanism: Frontiers Remain,” will take place from February 2 to February 4, 2024, featuring a series of events and symposia.
E. F. San Juan, Inc. will bring its exceptional craftsmanship to the forefront of the 30th Seaside Prize celebration by crafting a hand-crafted box enclosure for the Seaside Prize Key. This custom-crafted box designed by founder and CEO Ed San Juan will serve as a symbolic representation of the quality and dedication shared by E. F. San Juan and the Seaside Institute in their joint commitment to excellence and the art of design.
Complementing the programming in Seaside, there will be tours in nearby Alys Beach and Rosemary Beach. Edward San Juan will speak alongside Alys Beach town architect Marieanne Khoury-Vogt as part of the Alys Beach experience and community tour on Sunday, February 4, highlighting and educating attendees on custom moulding and millwork as it relates to the New Urbanist standards of beauty in building construction.
