For the first time in Rocky Bayou Christian School history and since its membership with the FHSAA began in school year 2002-2003, three senior athletes, Jackson Mallick, David Om and Elizabeth Pruitt, were each named as three of the 24 members of the statewide FHSAA 2023 Florida Dairy Farmers Academic All-State Team, announced on the FHSAA website (https://fhsaa.com/news/2023/4/4/about-us-fhsaa-announces-2023-florida-dairy-farmers-academic-all-state-team.aspx).
This honor is based upon their academic and athletic accomplishments in their junior and senior years. All three students were honored along with 21 other Florida student athletes at the banquet in Gainesville on June 5, with Jackson additionally honored to read the essay component of his applications. Each of the 24 state winners received a $1,700 scholarship and an FHSAA Medallion commemorating their achievements.
