Morrison Springs Park is now open again. The park has been closed for repairs and renovations since Oct. 25. Now those improvements are complete, and the park is again open to the public.
During the interim, county crews rebuilt the entire boardwalk and added new steps for divers. The beach area was filled with fresh white sand and crews rebuilt the fence around the pavilion area. They also installed a new septic system with fencing and rebuilt the fence near the public parking lot. Those working on the project included the Parks Maintenance Crew – consisting of Parks Foreman David Brown, Kenneth Cox, Dennis Bryan’s inmate crew and Greg Martin’s inmate crew – as well as the Building and Construction Crew – consisting of Construction Foreman James R Nance, Donald Varnum, Jason Davis, Anthony Anderson, Ryder Brown, Cody Willingham, Max Ealum and their inmate crew.
